A stray dog abandoned in a park by her owners was adopted by the police officer who saved her.
A malnourished, wounded, and abandoned pit bull cross rested calmly in a Bloomington, Indiana park.
The sad dog begged for assistance with her eyes as the cheerful walkers passed by.
This continued until a stranger approached her. Because the dog showed evidence of physical mistreatment, he contacted the local sheriff!
It was love at first sight for Officer Jeff Ripley, who came on call.
But he hasn’t really grasped this yet, and he was planning to take the unfortunate puppy to the shelter.
It was, however, closed!
The pit bull was then transported to Jeff’s home.
Jeff’s lover had just returned home and, upon spotting a starving puppy, volunteered to give her a place to stay for the night.
And the baby got along so well with the couple’s other pets that they decided to abandon her for good!
The dog was transported to the veterinarian facility the next day.
They had to track down the previous owner, who claimed that the pit bull had been struck by a car, but he refused to treat her and put her outside.
The youngster had to go through a lengthy therapy…
Daisy, the dog, was in dire need of affection. And she was successful!
She stopped being terrified of loud noises after a few weeks, began to play, and gradually gained trust in the new owners.
“When I go to work, Daisy rushes to the bedroom window and watches over me.” Every day, she eagerly awaits my return…”, Jeff explains.
Daisy now rests in bed, gets tons of kisses all day, and doesn’t require anything…
So the dog found a family and trust in mankind in an instant!
