A photographer has captured a once-in-a-lifetime shot of a crow riding on the back of a bald eagle in mid-flight.

Phoo Chan is a talented Californian photographer whose bird photos have appeared on National Geographic.  He captured a stunning series of images showing how a crow managed to fly atop an eagle!

Nobody has ever managed to capture something like this before!

Crows are notorious for their aggressive behavior toward other larger predators. They come across in the region they consider their own, as Chan points out.

Crows do not let unwelcome visitors stay around.

However, based on these photos, it appears that this crow does not chase the eagle in any way.

And the bald eagle seems unconcerned with the actions of its little feathery companion, who has rudely entered its personal space.

You can also see that the crow came to a halt and mounted a huge bird. It’s as though it was meant to be!

One can only speculate as to what it was — an unprecedented act of defiance or a one-of-a-kind bird relationship that no one knows about.
