A man was walking in the forest and noticed that a tree with a stork’s nest had fallen. Recently there had been strong winds and rain in the region. The old tree, on top of which the nest was placed, failed and fell down.

Stork chicks had fallen out of the nest and were sitting on the grass. They were not yet able to fly and could become easy victims of stray dogs and other predators. The man took the babies with him and called specialists from the White Stork Home. The babies were named Anya and Vanya. They both suffered had fractures of their wings. So now the storks have a long recovery period ahead of them. After that, they can be released into the wild if they can fly. If the storks cannot fly, they will be transferred to the zoo.
