A Janitor Found a Cat Lying In a Garbage Chute
On the most ordinary working day, a janitor in one of the multi-apartment buildings in Izhevsk was busy cleaning up garbage. When he reached the garbage chute, he was very surprised. There was a cat lying motionless under the piles of garbage with its eyes wide open. How it got there remained unclear.
Caring people took the cat to the nearest veterinary clinic. A zoo volunteer Oksana was there at that moment, and she could not pass by the purr in trouble. Despite the cat’s critical condition, she decided to help her.
Oksana named her new feline Vasilisa. It turned out that the cat had a spine injury, so it was almost impossible to move. Recovery was possible but with little chance.
Vasilisa, who had been under severe stress, was recovering at the clinic. She rejoiced at the affection given to her, showed interest in the world around her, and tried to do at least something on her own.
Soon Vasilisa was able to sit up without the help of others, which was already a great victory. It was becoming clear that even though she would not completely recover from the effects of her injury, it did not cancel the possibility of a full life for her.
Oksana was very worried about the fate of her special kitty, as she understood that she would be unlikely to find anyone willing to take her on. But a real miracle happened: Vasilisa was not only noticed by kind people, but they also paid a big debt for her treatment!
Just look at what Vasilisa has become after a few months with loving people! She learned to walk, jump and run and do all the things other cats do on their own.
Vasilisa is now called Lisa. She still has some peculiarities in her gait because of her injury, but it doesn’t prevent her from living at all. The owners adore their pet, which proves once again that everyone in this world has a chance for happiness.
